Guangdong recently unveiled its "Action Plan for Artificial Intelligence Empowering High-Quality Manufacturing Development (2025-2027)." This plan outlines Guangdong"s commitment to bolstering fiscal and financial support to drive the integration of AI into manufacturing for high-quality growth.

According to Linlin, Deputy Director General of the Department of Finance of Guangdong Province, by mid-2025 the province will launch a special fund that subsidizes up to 35% of the interest on new bank loans extended to qualified manufacturing and high-tech enterprises. The total scale of subsidized loans is projected to reach up to 200 billion yuan annually over a three-year period. To ramp up support for equipment renewal efforts, Guangdong will provide additional interest subsidies that complement those from the central government, so that the two tiers of government will jointly provide interest subsidies at an annualized rate of 1.75% for eligible technology transformation and equipment-renewal loans.
